Getting to the Conference

Driving/Walking/Cycling Directions:

Directions to MCTC (main campus) can be found at www.minneapolis.edu/directions.cfm#trans

  • Note for cyclists: bicycle racks are located directly outside the MCTC Technical building where the conference is being held.
  • Note for drivers: the MCTC parking ramp is located across Hennepin Ave. from the conference location. Plan to bring exactly $5 for parking as the site is often unattended and has a pay as you enter fee. Roadside parking is also available a few blocks away and provides a brisk walk on your way to and from the conference.

Public transportation is an excellent option for travel to the conference site. Fortunately there are a number of bus routes and the light rail servicing MCTC. You can take the bus, the train, or both if you feel so inclined. Just consult the information here, then check out www.metrotransit.org for a few more details, and you will be on your way!

It runs from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, all the way to downtown (with many stops along the way). The stop nearest to MCTC is the Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue station, from which you can either walk approximately 10 blocks, or hop a bus south on Hennepin to MCTC.
