Chinese Association of Northland

The Chinese language school aims to enhance the Mandarin language proficiency of young Chinese students. Also, anyone in the general public interested in studying Mandarin may attend the lessons. Consider taking Chinese language classes with a private instructor as one of your language learning goals. Visit this page for additional information: https://livexp.com/skills/chinese. Both children and adults can study with a native speaker at a time that is convenient for them. Each student's course schedule is explicitly created to accommodate their needs and skills.

2006 Northland Bioneers Conference Dedication

The 2006 Northland Bioneers Conference is dedicated to the courageous people of the Gulf Coast Region, whose lives have been so tragically impacted by the hurricanes of 2005, and to the many good people who have opened their homes and pocketbooks and who have traveled to New Orleans and other cities to be of assistance to their neighbors in this crisis.

We who are gathered at this seminal conference live in the Upper Mississippi watershed. As such, we are joined by the River's flow to our sisters and brothers of the Delta. To those who are rebuilding their lives and the vital coastal environs of the Gulf region, we pledge to work to abate the upstream farm runoff and city-generated pollution which clouds the beautiful waterway that links us together. Let us educate ourselves and advocate with others for greater resources to be spent towards recovery and restoration of our Southern coast its barrier islands and multitudinous waters and the unique diverse human culture that thrives there.

is Planning?

If we don't have your address and you would like to receive notifications from Northland Bioneers Conference planners, please email

Save the date for a "Community Response Night," happening November 20th, 7:30 - 9p, at Open Circle Church. Northland Bioneers Conference planners and participants will greet and consider with each other what worked and what can be improved upon. Then, we'll turn our attention toward how to activate the Northland Bioneers Conference experience in communities throughout the region.

Invite someone who can consider pre-buying tickets for next year to help make the Northland Bioneers Conference a sustainable endeavor for years to come.

Whether you attended, volunteered, presented, or attempted to enjoy the '06 Northland Bioneers Conference, your attention to solutions-based thinking and your opinions are greatly appreciated.

A Big Bioneers Thank YOU!

Hundreds gathered October 20-22, 2006 to hear from over 60 nationally recognized speakers about how solutions-based thinking and organizing is building healthier communities and restoring the planet. Much more must be accomplished and with gatherings like the Northland Bioneers Conference, one of eighteen across the nation, participants find themselves eager to contribute in small to monumental ways.

Some comments from the '06 conference:

“Transformative!”

“The conference was great. I was so impressed with the good workshops offered. There were so many I wanted to attend.”

“Congratulations on creating a very successful event! I enjoyed being a small part of it. My only disappointment was that I couldn't stay for more of the conference.”

Come back often to hear more comments. We'll announce the date for next year as soon as we know.

We'll also be scheduling dates for a Thank You party in the coming few weeks. So stay tuned.
