Driving/Walking/Cycling Directions:

Directions to MCTC (main campus) can be found at www.minneapolis.edu/directions.cfm#trans

• Note for cyclists: bicycle racks are located directly outside the MCTC Technical building where the conference is being held.
• Note for drivers: the MCTC parking ramp is located across Hennepin Ave. from the conference location. Plan to bring exactly $5 for parking as the site is often unattended and has a pay as you enter fee. Roadside parking is also available a few blocks away and provides a brisk walk on your way to and from the conference.

Public transportation is an excellent option for travel to the conference site. Fortunately there are a number of bus routes and the light rail servicing MCTC. You can take the bus, the train, or both if you feel so inclined. Just consult the information here, then check out www.metrotransit.org for a few more details, and you will be on your way!

Bus Routes:

The following bus routes run on Hennepin Avenue, immediately past MCTC:

• Route 4 serves: New Brighton, Silver Lake Village, NE Minneapolis, Downtown, S. Minneapolis, Edina, Richfield, Southtown Shopping Center, 82nd St. Transit Center
• Route 6 serves: U. of M., Downtown, Uptown, France Ave, Xerxes Ave, Edina
• Route 12 serves: Downtown, Uptown, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka

The following routes pass through the 7th St. Garage Transit Center, which is about 7-8 blocks away from MCTC. It is located just to the southwest of the Target Center, near 7th St. and 2nd Ave, on the western edge of downtown Minneapolis.

• Route 5 serves: Brooklyn Center, N. Minneapolis, Downtown, S. Minneapolis, Richfield, Bloomington, Mall of America
• Route 9 serves: Minnetonka, St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, Bryn Mawr (Minneapolis), Downtown

The following routes pass through the Leamington Transit Center, which is about 8-9 blocks away from MCTC. It is located between 10 th/11th Streets, and 2nd/3rd Avenues.

Light Rail:

In addition to bus services, the Light Rail is also a great option for getting to the conference. It runs from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, all the way to downtown (with many stops along the way). The stop nearest to MCTC is the Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue station, from which you can either walk approximately 10 blocks, or hop a bus south on Hennepin to MCTC.
